Our Big Second Graders!

I was more sad than they were...they couldn't wait to get to school. I can't believe they are in the second grade already! Where does the time go...where did summer go! They had a great first day! They love their teacher, Mrs. Pagan. I had lunch duty at school today so I did get to see them in the cafeteria. When I asked them tonight what their favorite part was, they both answered....Everything! Hopefully this will stick through the year! Molly and I missed them more than they missed us!

Sleeping Beauty!

We had gone to the pool the other day and when we got home, I started getting dinner ready and it was all quiet on the couch...this little sleeping beauty was tired! It was so cute. Of course Ben & Rachel come in and see her and start saying, "Oh, how precious...she is so cute sleeping there!"
A little funny:
This morning when I heard her talking and went into her room to get her....she was talking to her imaginary reindeer! Then she gets Trevor and asks him, "Daddy, do you want to see my reindeer, do you want to pet it?" At least it's potty trained!
And believe it or not this little princess had strep last week! How... after all we went through with Ben and Rachel! Ugh!

We're Home!

We left on Friday, July 18th and got back yesterday...August 2nd. From Indiana for Cousin Will's third birthday, to NW Arkansas to visit friends (Trevor was gone part of this on a business trip to California..Mon.-Thurs.) then to Harrison for more visiting of family and friends, then back to Indiana to see the Gertz family on our way home. We swam, played, visited, saw lots of people and not all of them on the slide show below...but lots of fun with all! And if we didn't get to see you...please remember it was a busy trip, and hopefully next time we will see you!
The kids were great travelers! 2 weeks and a day! Great time but it is good to be home!

Our long trip...............

Goodbye Friends!

Andrew & Aaron, the twin neighbor boys behind us who are the same age as Ben and Rachel are moving to Virginia and they had a going away party down at the neighborhood pool last night. The top picture was from the party. They all had so much fun. They play together almost daily so I am not sure what they are going to do without them. Rachel says, "Now I know what it felt like for my friends when we moved from Arkansas!" Ben is already planning for them to visit!

This one was taken out front when the four of them were playing the other day.

Riley Lynn Keeling

My close friend in Arkansas (Jennifer Keeling) had her baby yesterday. I talked to her last night and they were both doing good. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. and was born at 1:34 pm. I can't wait to go there in a couple weeks and get my hands on baby Riley. Molly already has the baby Riley part down!
Congratulations Jennifer, Jason and big sister Peyton!

Happy 4th Weekend!

The kids are healed...yeah! So we headed to Uncle Sean & Aunt Cosima's on Thursday afternoon so they could play with Will & Calla and I could help Cosima with some decorating. We stayed 2 nights and came home last night after dinner. Of course the kids were bathed and ready for bed but didn't sleep the whole way home....so much for that plan! We stopped at Kings Island when we got back into town at 10 and watched the fireworks. Luckily everyone slept past 8 this morning!
We tried to go to the 4th of July parade in Bloomington Friday but after we got there, got all the kids a few blocks from the van, it became a downpour and we all got soaked! After standing under a sheltered area soaking wet for about 45 minutes and the rain not letting up, we sent Trevor and Sean to get the vans! We went back and everyone had to change clothes and we just hung out and played. Later Sean cooked out burgers and hot dogs. After our fireworks with the kids we tried out Sean's new firepit with s'mores! Yummy! It was a fun relaxing weekend...plus I set a new record on the Wii with a 810 in skee ball and knocked Sean off the list! lol
Today we took the kids down to the pool to swim. After lunch it was napping time...then we did dinner and church tonight. Love the Sunday night masses...great music!
Hope you all had a safe and happy 4th.
