Molly Graduates From Preschool!

New Georgia Home

Last week Trevor and I flew to Georgia for our house hunting trip. He had been there the week before working and looked at this house before flying back home. I had seen it online only, and I talked him into making an offer....he was highly against this without me seeing it first. (We did this only because more than once a house would go under contract before we could see it...and I think that was because it was meant to be that this is our new home!) Our Realtor told us we could make the offer under due diligence and see it first thing Tuesday morning and go from there. Luckily all the countering back and forth was done over the weekend before we got there. Once seeing this house and neighborhood, nothing else compared. So we stuck with this one. You will see why. 1.2 acre lot. The kids are really excited. The neighborhood offers so much for kids and families. I think we are going to have a lot of fun. Swimming pools, tennis courts, hiking, biking and horse riding trails, trout hatchery, 20 min. hike to the dam and just south of Lake Lanier. It will be a fun place for visitors too....so keep that in mind when you need a fun place to visit! The house has so much character and landscaping. And it's done. No more living through construction for us. :)

And an amazing back yard with a pool, jacuzzi and fire pit. Roasted marshmallows and smores....yum!

Mother's Day Tea

My baby girl is about to finish up preschool....I can't believe that! Yesterday was the annual "Mother's Day Tea" at Lakeview. She was so cute and sang & danced her little heart away! I am so thankful that God gave me this little princess! The place was decorated all cute and the refreshments were tasty!
Below is Jackson, Molly's favorite classmate. Uh Oh!!!! Should I be worried?
But I know who has her heart for the time being.....Mommy! And I am so blessed!

Easter Weekend

Sleepy kids who got up too early to see what the Easter Bunny brought them.
And even with family here for the weekend, we all managed to get out of the house early and made it to the 9:00 mass in time to get a seat this year! Fun with cousins. And with all the rain, and more rain, and more rain that we have been having the egg hunt was inside this year. It was a fun-filled Family Easter. Good food and the kids all did great. Although, I wonder if Rachel thought it might have been a little loud. After everyone was gone last night she says, "so it sure is quiet in here, kinda weird that it is so quiet, do you think this is what the Dugger's feel like if they are ever alone!" lol

April Catch Up.....

So what have we been doing.....
Molly lost her first tooth and was ever so proud!
Rachel & Ben had the "very fancy" 4th Grade Etiquette Luncheon at the Golf Course Country Club through their school and loved it!And we got the house on the market. Have had 4 showings in 2 weeks so if someone would just buy it all would be good! Keeping things in order for those last minute showings has been a little hectic but I am making it! Trevor & I also spent 3 days in Georgia looking for a house while the kids stayed with Grandpa & Grandma during their spring break. No luck yet, but did find some areas to focus on.
And last but not least...I just finished up a 4 day/bake sale (over a 2 week period) through our CFP (Christian Formation Program) at church to benefit some friends of ours and their 2nd grade daughter who has an inoperable brain tumor. Very rewarding and emotional...not expecting to do anything near what we did but we made $6000.00 for this family! Friends and family pulling together was amazing!!! Please keep Kortney in your prayers!

SLE Spring Bingo Knight

I have been busy....I just finished co-chairing South Lebanon Elementary School's largest fundraiser of the year. Spring Bingo Knight was held at the school on Friday evening. Bingo, Dinner, Bakery Bar, Silent Auction, Raffle Baskets, Candy Bingo for the little ones, a lot of people and fun for all!!!
And as stressful as it was getting everything done, as neglected as my family felt, and as tired as I became....pulling off such a successful event makes you have a feeling of accomplishment and success...therefore making it all worth it!!!
Below are some photo's taken from the local newspaper's photographer.

Georgia on my mind................

So keeping up with Trevor's tradition of moving every 5 yrs......or less....after 4 years in Ohio, we are on to our new destination. Georgia! Atlanta area (North of the city, Alpharetta area)
We are excited that we will not have to deal with Ohio winter weather anymore but bummed that we will not be as close to his family! BIG BUMMER!!! We told the kids this weekend and they took it better than their friends did. Some were very sad! :( Hopefully the adjustment will go well since we will stay until they get out of school in June. Congratulations to my wonderful husband and all his accomplishments with Clorox. I am very proud of him and my attitude in this is always
"home" is where we are together!!
