Our Little Patient

For the last 6 months or so Molly started getting ear infections....A LOT...and they would tell us that she was better and 4 or 5 days later she would have another one. They finally sent her to an ENT and he said her adenoids needed to come out and she needed tubes. She just hasn't been herself especially the month of Dec. They scheduled her surgery for Jan. 6th...guess we will be meeting our deductible quickly this year...why does something always happen to do that? She was the most brave patient and did so good.....up until the surgery. Afterwards....now that would be a different story and something Trevor & I hope to put out of our minds. We had (just let me put it nicely) not too good of a nurse in recovery. Our little princess cried for almost 2 hrs from pain afterwards. 3 pain meds later, vomiting, being stuck 7...yes I said 7 times before the iv could get started....but after a couple of days of being home and pampered with love, she is doing great and is back to acting herself.
Above: at the hospital before her surgery & below at home recovering the next day!

Molly's Favorite Sayings:

She is talking so much and I have decided that she is going to have an imagination like her Brother. She says, "Oh no, what are we going to do?" about 20 times a day. Whether, she is just playing with something, sees a pretend monster, or petting one of her pretend animals. (baby jaguar, pet puma, elephants, lions, etc.) Then yesterday on the way home in the van....she says, (over and over since it made us laugh) "Help us, Rib-bit, Rib-bit" and the way she says the "Rib-bit, Rib-bit" so loud was precious!
Busy week with lots of little things going on. All three are in swimming again, Molly & Rachel have appts. to have their ears re-checked after having ear infections, appliance people coming to repair a part on the cook-top where the black was coming off the burner, cable coming since we are switching phone service, Rachel has ballet and it is observation week, so I will get to see the routine for her recital. Trevor has a dinner meeting with work tonight so maybe I will treat the kids to fast food! woo hoo! Plus the weather is nice for a couple days so that will be an added plus. Have a good week.

Tired... but so hungry!!

Today while eating lunch I look over and Molly is falling asleep but totally chowing away on her grilled cheese, crunchy carrots with ranch and grapes. It was so funny. She kept on eating while I got the camera but didn't open her eyes. Of course now that she is in bed she is all awake and talking now that it is time for her to nap. (She ended up talking for a hour and a half after I put her down...go figure!)
The red on her chin (if you can see it) is from her sledding injury. She and Ben had a flip that scratched her up pretty good.
All the kids used to fall asleep like this but Molly hasn't done it for a long time...maybe it's the time change! Too cute!

Sweet Little Cousins!

This picture was taken of Molly and her little cousin Calla on the same weekend that we celebrated Ben and Rachel's Birthdays. They got these dresses for Christmas and looked so cute matching for church.

Molly's cute things:

She comes up to me while I am adding to the blog and says, "I need to do my gem hunt!" I was cracking up. Webkinz fans know what I am talking about! I think she listens to her brother and sister!
She is also into singing at the top of her lungs, especially when she goes to bed...at night or for nap! So if you hear the ABC's or I dropped my dolly in the dirt...that would be her!
If you tell her you love her this much she says, "I love Daddy BIG much."
Oh...the little things in life!
Now she is waking up and I need to go love on her.

Happy Birthday Molly

These were taken when we celebrated her birthday. She was so cute and loved opening her gifts. She would get a present and then go sit down in the pink chair to open it. I can't believe she is 2 already! She sure loves her Ben and Ray Ray (as she calls them) and loves to try to do & say everything they do. It's so cute that she is talking and interacting with them so much more that they want more to do with her now.
She loves to watch Barney and of course Grandma (with some help from Grandpa) made her the cake she wanted! I am sure staying up so late to get it done was all worth it when she sees them and she runs into their arms! They are the best!
