First Day of Kindergarten & School

My sweet little "baby" girl started kindergarten this morning. Where did the time go? She was sooo excited about going and loves her teacher. I think she is going to have a great year! Even though I am missing her already! :(
How cute is this group of kids! We are so fortunate that our friends we met while living in Bentonville, AR (when we were there before Ohio and the parents are actually Molly's Godparents) & are moving her from Seattle and will be living just a few miles away and the kids are all in the same school and Rachel & Ella even in the same class. So as my first babies head off to 5th grade and my youngest off to kindergarten...reality hasn't set in yet....next week may be a different story. The staff has been so welcoming. I think we are in the right place!

Visitors & the last 3 weeks

So we left Ohio and made it to our new home in Cumming, GA. We spent the first week living out of boxes but are slowly getting settled. Of course moving in and less than a week later the upstairs air conditioner went out so that didn't help matters. It was too hot to unpack so we spent a lot of time in the pool and camping out on the main floor where the air did work!
Grandma & Grandpa to the rescue. They got to come and spend a week & a half helping us get settled. Grandpa also did a lot of work, changing out some light fixtures, new shades on the windows, hanging up curtains in kids rooms, etc. Grandpa was also able to enjoy a little time each evening in the pool & hot tub.
And as Grandma & Grandpa left my brother, Jeff and my sister's daughter, Grace...who my kids LOVE...came to visit for the weekend. Grace had a fun trip with Uncle Jeff but was so excited to be here with the kids. They spend a lot of time in the pool as well.
Cousins & Best Friends: Rachel & Grace. This photo was up by Buford Dam and Lake Lanier. We went out exploring Sunday morning but they couldn't wait to get back home so they could swim some more! :) These two are so sweet together.

In Loving Memory

Please keep these sweet girls in your prayers. As most of you that know us or follow my blog know that Kortney was a special girl to me. (In the purple top with a cute little flower in her hair, and the other 2 girls with Rachel and Molly are her amazing big sisters. This picture was taken the day before we left Ohio) On Aug. 3rd, she passed away and has gone to be with Jesus. I'm sure she is riding horses, (which she loved) is dancing, painting pictures for everyone and making people laugh right now. Kortney loved Molly! So we told Molly that she now has her very own angel who will always watch over her. Kortney had an inoperable brain tumor that they discovered when she was 5, and 3 yrs later after lots of treatments she developed a virus/fever and it was too much for her system. As sad as we are that we have lost her, knowing where she is now and that she is pain free, and keeping all the memories we have of her in our hearts is what will help. Please pray for her family! They will miss her soooo soooo much! Why she got dealt the hand she did we will never know. Only God has that down. I just know that 8 years wasn't long enough for all those who loved her but it was long enough for Kortney, she lived a good life...just not a long one.
We did get moved. Still trying to get settled. More on that too come. We have been in the house for a couple of weeks and are enjoying the pool. I have been a bad blogger, too much other stuff going on. Catch ups too come later.

We had family pictures made a couple weeks ago. Lauren does spectacular photography and we were scheduled for October but with the upcoming move she fit us in and I love the sneak preview. Can't wait to see the rest. Follow her on fb to see her amazing work. (Designs by DiFulvio)
