Recital Picture Day

The recital is June 8th, Rachel is so excited and and says she can't wait....their dance is to Cinderella Overture...very appropriate for the costumes.
These girls are all in the first grade at SLE together and all ended up in the same ballet class.
L to R..Rachel, Katilyn, Sarah and Kristin.

Funny Kids!

After ballet pictures were done Rachel quickly changed and the neighbor behind us (who is in their class and is also a twin, actually there are 4 sets in the first grade here....and three are boy/girl twins...and they all live in our neighborhood) anyway, Andrew was giving them karate lessons in the backyard....they were so funny.

Earthquake?

I woke up to a slight shaking this morning. At first I thought Ben was maybe there kinda shaking the bed that he needed something. No one was there. I sat up, it was about 5:40 am. I wondered if Trevor was shaking, no just sleeping? I debated on getting up to make sure everything was alright downstairs.......then it stopped. Almost like a vibration from the washing machine off balance or from some kind of explosion. Then I hear it was an earthquake and lots of others around felt it too. Not what I thought at all! Strange feeling!

Molly's Favorite Sayings:

She is talking so much and I have decided that she is going to have an imagination like her Brother. She says, "Oh no, what are we going to do?" about 20 times a day. Whether, she is just playing with something, sees a pretend monster, or petting one of her pretend animals. (baby jaguar, pet puma, elephants, lions, etc.) Then yesterday on the way home in the van....she says, (over and over since it made us laugh) "Help us, Rib-bit, Rib-bit" and the way she says the "Rib-bit, Rib-bit" so loud was precious!
Busy week with lots of little things going on. All three are in swimming again, Molly & Rachel have appts. to have their ears re-checked after having ear infections, appliance people coming to repair a part on the cook-top where the black was coming off the burner, cable coming since we are switching phone service, Rachel has ballet and it is observation week, so I will get to see the routine for her recital. Trevor has a dinner meeting with work tonight so maybe I will treat the kids to fast food! woo hoo! Plus the weather is nice for a couple days so that will be an added plus. Have a good week.

NOW....................... (look right)

Okay, who has changed more? Anyone who knows me knows how long the Martins have been a part of my life. This weekend was very special to Trevor and myself. (Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa who kept the kids for us) We got to go spend two days in Georgetown, KY watching Kyle play in a golf tournament there. He is a freshman in college and plays on Drury's golf team. He had an awesome two days...shot 76 the first day and even par (72) today. His team finished in 8th place out of 21 teams. We were so proud of him and we were so glad that he was close enough that we could go watch him. Then when I went to post this picture I thought about how small he used to be and I went and got the picture to the right to make some of you laugh. We are very proud of you Kyle, not just in how good you do in sports but what a great young man you are! Great Job this weekend......see you really do great when I am around!!! (or I like to think so)!

First Grade Musical

Here are Ben and Rachel at their 1st Grade Musical last Thursday night. Their art teacher outlined their sign and they got to paint it so they were very proud of it while they were singing. Rachel especially sang her little heart out...so much that you could hear her over everyone else.
